Week #3: Nature - Trees

This week, we were asked to focus on trees and write a paragraph or so about the tree.

My Dirt Road.  I loved growing up on this dirt road. I am so happy that my kids get to do so as well. The six trees on the left are Crepe Myrtles that were transplanted from my Grandma's yard after she passed away.

Week #1: Macro - In the Kitchen

I love these challenges as it makes me read more into a subject to understand what I need to do to complete the challenge of the task.
After several attempts & learning what NOT to do, I came out with several favorites this week.  The first one is the one that was chosen to represent my attempt on Flickr for the photochallenge.org group by my daughter as she said it was her favorite.
"Wooden Spoons"

"Spider Strainer"

"Knife"

"Salt & Dill Popcorn Leftovers"

Photo Friday: Moody

Before & After

As of today, I am 8 weeks post-op from my back surgery.  Since I am able to be up and mobile again, I needed to get behind the camera again.  Last week, I took a trip to Emerald Isle, NC.  During my last day on the island, I took what I do believe is my most favorite picture I have ever done.  So, below, I have put in the original & the edited versions to see how much editing I do with a picture I take.

Original:

Edited:  On this particular one, I cropped, adjusted the lighting, then added my copyright.
